Privacy Policy

Your information, handled with care.

We respect your privacy. This page explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, call or email — we're happy to walk through it.

Information we collect

When you fill out a contact or quote form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, the type of coverage you're interested in, your preferred contact method, and any message you choose to send. When you visit the site, our hosting provider receives standard server log data — IP address, user agent, the page you requested, and timestamps. If you accept cookies, our analytics provider (Google Analytics 4) sets cookies that help us understand which pages people visit, anonymized at the IP level.

How we use your information

We use what you submit to respond to your inquiry, prepare insurance quotes from carriers we represent, follow up by phone, text, or email if you've asked us to, and to keep records that comply with applicable state insurance regulations. We use analytics data to improve the site — never to build advertising profiles.

Who we share your information with

We share information with insurance carriers we shop on your behalf, and only when needed to prepare a quote or bind a policy you've asked us to bind. We use third-party service providers to run the website: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (lead storage), Google (analytics), and Trustindex (review aggregation). These providers process data on our behalf under their own published privacy and security commitments. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and tracking

We use a small number of cookies. Strictly necessary cookies keep the site running. If you accept the cookie notice, Google Analytics 4 sets cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_*) to count visits and pages — your IP address is anonymized before it reaches Google. You can decline analytics by dismissing the cookie notice, by using your browser's Do Not Track setting, or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information you've shared with us. You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time. To make a request, email jorge@desertcrestinsurance.com or call (435) 429-5800. Utah residents have additional rights under the Utah Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to opt out of the sale of personal information — Desert Crest Insurance does not sell personal information.

How long we keep your information

We keep contact submissions for as long as you're a client and for a reasonable period after, in line with insurance recordkeeping requirements. You can ask us to delete your information at any time and we'll honor the request unless a regulation requires us to keep specific records.

How we protect your information

We use HTTPS site-wide, restrict access to our admin systems with email-based login and role controls, and store lead data in a managed database with backups. As an insurance agency we're also bound by the safeguards required under the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and applicable state regulations. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe there's been a security incident affecting your information, please contact us immediately.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. Material changes that affect how we use your information will be highlighted on the site.
